Poetry Unit Exam
Hi Students,
Don't forget to send me a poetry question to include in the exam for our formative assessment. All you have to do is use any of your handouts, any poem we've read in class, or any of the poetry vocabulary to create up to 3 multiple choice questions (with answers). Please send your questions to shenikaglenn@gmail.com if you'd like me to use your question.
Remember that we are using the CPS, so the questions have to be in multiple choice format.

WHOOOOO~ We choose our own questions :]] MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA I WILL SOOO GET AN 100 ON THIS!!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG.... Que buena idea.... You are the coolest teacher ever
ReplyDeletefor the poettry portfolio, for the ode, what kind of ode are we supposed to do?
ReplyDeleteYES! We get to write our own questions!
ReplyDeleteWe've so got this Priscilla!
What is this? You do know that there will be people, cough cough Danish, who will submit the most rediculous questions that only they know the answer to. It just seems like we are going to end up focusing a little too much on the minutiae. Also, it becomes really easy to cheat, if we all know the answers to a small portion of the test... Just my 2¢.
ReplyDelete@Brian, don't worry, I will filter out ridiculous and bogus questions. I still have the final say. It's okay to know the answer to a few questions when the test is 50 or so questions long. I'm okay with that.
ReplyDelete@100dollarbil, it's a tribute to GSMST. Make it nice...even it it's a bit sarcastic. :)
Thanks for checking in guys,
Mrs. Glenn
hey mrs. Glenn about the projec-the L.A. poem we're supposed to do written as a lime rick, does it have to be about L.A.?
ReplyDeleteapproximately how many lines should it be?
ReplyDelete@david look at the poem requirements, it clearly says that it does
Mrs. Glenn, did you know that we cant copy and paste into the mixbook. This is not good because most of us have our poems written in a word document, and it will take us an extremely long time to retype them up into the mixbook. So what can we do?
ReplyDeleteYESS!!!!!!!!!! Figured it out, just hit ctrl v when you want to paste
ReplyDeleteGood job Joel for figuring that out. Thanks 100dollarbil, yes David, is has to be about Language Arts, but I removed the stanza requirements, so the limerick doesn't have a stanza length, or line length requirement. Just do a nice one...even if it's not so nice. :) If you want, you can look at Devonne's submission. Go to the link called "Poetry Portfolios" on my teacher webpage located on the left-hand side. Hope this helps.

Does there have to be a necessary rhyme scheme for the ode
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to start making my questions! Thanks Ms. Glenn!

ms. Glenn, for the poetry portfolio porject, what are we supposed to do with the 1st and 2nd choice pomes? Do we just pick a poem that fits the criteria and analyze it?
ReplyDeleteoh and I had a quick question, do odes have to have a rhyme scheme? I have seen some that do, and some that don't.
ReplyDeleteYou can copy and paste on mixbook. You right-click and copy and then control-v to paste after you insert a textbox. Stephanie told me how to do that.
ReplyDeletefor the test when we send you questions, should the multiple choice be from a - d, or a-c, or a-e or what?
ReplyDeletePlease use multiple choice questions a-b-c-d only okay. Anything less is too few, and anything more, is too much. :)
